🤱 World Breastfeeding Week starts on 1 August – a good moment to talk about something that looks so natural and yet is often quite a challenge: breastfeeding. 💚

For many mums and babies, breastfeeding is a wonderful start – but it doesn’t always come easily. Sore nipples, engorgement, uncertainty about latching or the question “is my baby getting enough?” – for many, all of that is part of it. And that’s completely okay. The important thing: you don’t have to get through it on your own.

Whether you breastfeed, combine feeding or use a bottle – what counts is a well-nourished, content baby and a mum who feels good. 🍼 We listen, take a look together and, if needed, refer you to lactation consultants and midwives in the region.

🩺 July 28 is World Hepatitis Day – a good moment to spare a thought for your liver. For many, hepatitis A and B sound like a “far-away travel topic”, yet solid vaccination protection is simply sound prevention – for young and old alike. 💚

Hepatitis A is picked up through contaminated water or food, hepatitis B through blood and bodily fluids. Both can be reliably prevented with a well-tolerated vaccination – often even as a single combined jab. For children, the hepatitis B vaccination is part of the recommended basic protection, and many adults no longer remember whether or when they were last vaccinated. 🧳🌍

Our tip: dig out your vaccination card and bring it along at your next visit. Together we’ll check what needs a booster – relaxed and stress-free. Especially before the holiday season, that’s time well spent. 📅✅

🌊 25 July is World Drowning Prevention Day. Right now, when you’re cooling off at our Tyrolean lakes, it’s worth a quick look at the most important rules.

The most important water-safety rules

• Always keep children within arm’s reach at the water – a few seconds are enough.
• Never jump into cold water overheated or right after eating.
• No alcohol before swimming.
• Only swim where you know the bottom and can judge your own strength.
• Inflatable animals are no substitute for a proper flotation aid – they drift off quickly.

And most important: people who are drowning usually don’t scream or wave. They go under silently. Look out for one another – especially the little ones.

Enjoy the summer – but stay alert at the water. 💚

💊 Here’s how to order your prescriptions and medication with us – simple, safe and well organised. Everything you need to know at a glance.

✅ Insert your e-card once at the start of the quarter – after that you can order conveniently via Medflex or by phone through our phone assistant.
✅ Or order directly at the practice – during our morning opening hours and on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

📝 To help us process your order quickly, please always give the name and date of birth of the person the medication is for. At the practice it helps if you already have your medication written down on a note.

👤 Ordering for someone else (family or friends)? For that we need a power of attorney – we can give you a ready-made form.

⏰ Order in good time – ideally a few days in advance rather than waiting until the last day, so shortages don’t arise in the first place.

📲 Your medication will be stored on your e-card within two working days at the latest – often the same day. For orders placed via Medflex or by phone, you’ll then receive a text notification.

Good to know:
📦 It’s not always possible to release several packs at once – sometimes only one pack is allowed. This is set by the health insurer and is out of our hands.
📋 Some medications require prior approval – here we depend on the insurer’s response, which can take a little longer.
🩺 Time-limited and new medications, as well as certain active ingredients such as antibiotics or cortisone preparations, are only released after consulting a doctor – i.e. after an examination and discussion with us.
✈️ Need a travel medical kit? These medications go through a private prescription – after consulting one of our doctors.
