  • Grass pollen season in Wörgl: what helps now

    Dear people of Wörgl, 🌿🤧

The meadows around Wörgl are in full bloom – and that means the grass pollen season is now well and truly here. Watering eyes, a runny nose, poor sleep: many of you are feeling it clearly right now.

You’re not alone – and a few simple measures can help:

✅ Air your rooms briefly and thoroughly, ideally in the morning or evening when the pollen count is lower.

✅ Wash your hair in the evening so that no pollen ends up in your bed.

✅ A saline nasal rinse flushes the pollen out of your nasal passages.

✅ Antihistamines from the pharmacy can ease acute symptoms well.

If your symptoms are severe, your sleep is suffering or you go through the same thing every year – come and see us. We’ll advise you on acute treatment and on specific immunotherapy. You don’t just have to put up with it. 💚

  • It’s hot — tomorrow UV index 6 in Wörgl

Sun protection is more than a question of comfort. High UV radiation damages the skin permanently — and it adds up over the years. Children are especially sensitive: their skin is thinner and their protective barrier is not yet fully developed. 🧒

    What really helps:
✅ Sunscreen SPF 30+ (SPF 50+ for children), applied in good time and reapplied regularly
    ✅ Seek shade between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. — especially in the mountains
✅ Don’t forget a hat and long clothing
✅ Drink plenty — heat and altitude increase fluid loss

If you’re out in the mountains: UV radiation increases by about 10% per 1,000 metres of altitude. What’s still fine in the valley can become a real strain at the summit. 🏔️

Stay protected and enjoy the summer! 💚
